Our Mission
Health Science Educational Institute is a profit organization whose purpose is to serve all healthcare professionals in their commitment for learning to improve competence, knowledge, performance and patient outcomes through the realization of high-quality educational activities.
Content areas
We provide to healthcare professionals the most up-to-date, clinically relevant information and we help to improve their abilities to assess treatment options and new scientific developments across all therapeutic areas. The development of CME activities is done through a series of needs assessment to identify the educational gaps to be reduced by our activities that increase learner’s knowledge and competence. Our CME programs are designed for primary care, specialty care and subspecialty care education.
Expected Results
It is expected that participants in our CME activities will advance their medical knowledge into their practice to improve their competence and performance of patient outcomes. The learners will be able to have great confidence in their ability to apply the knowledge they have gained, improve the skills and attitudes of our learners that will allow them to provide patient-centered care, and ensure the relevance of education to the scope of learners’ professional practice.
The CME Program implements a variety of measurements to assess the activity outcome, which may occur at any or all of the following levels: Participation (Level 1), Satisfaction (Level 2), Learning Knowledge (Level 3), and Competence (Level 4).
The educational interventions planned in this proposal will utilize the following outcomes measurement tools:
Evaluation Form: A comprehensive post-activity evaluation form determines the outcomes in participant satisfaction, improvement in knowledge/competence, intent to change, and determination of future education. Completion of the evaluation form is mandatory to receive a certificate of credit.
Pre-Post Test: The pre-post test will include questions sent by the speakers of each lecture to evaluate the physician’s knowledge and to analyze if the educational activity was effective.
Learning (Level 3A and 3B)- declarative knowledge questions answered as pre-/post tests. The participants reported knowledge gain on the evaluation.
Competence (Level 4) – a phone call survey, after 30 days to follow up, were done to randomly selected participants to question their satisfaction and feedback on how the activity had helped them on their clinical practice with their patients encounters.
